Project Overview Development of the traffic staging signage strategy for the Foxground & Berry Bypass for a four-lane highway with median separation for 11.6km of the Princes Highway.
JJR Involvement The project involved using relevant Australian, Austroads and Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) Standards to develop the traffic signage strategy, including:

  • AS1742 Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
  • RMS Australian Standard Supplement v2.1 of AS1742 MUTCD
  • RTA Guide to Signs and Markings Reference List
  • RTA Interim Guide to Signs and Markings

The traffic staging design lot was used to provide an integrated and coordinated set of drawings which outlined the construction and traffic staging strategy for each phase of the project, providing design details for temporary road works and form the basis of the project traffic management plan and subsequent traffic control plans.
