The Port Authority of New South Wales were seeking to integrate an Intelligent Transport System-(ITS) solution to improve efficiency of ground transport at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) and White Bay Cruise Terminal (WBCT), by designing, procuring and installing an automated tolling system, which would provide up-to-date data for vehicles and traffic.
JJR Involvement :
JJR was engaged by Port Authority of New South Wales to investigate booking process for use of the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) and the White Bay Cruise Terminal (WBCT).
JJR’s experienced engineers conducted a comprehensive gap analysis assessment of historical ships data for the OPT and furcating future trends in compliance with section 9 of the Ports and Maritime Administration Act 1995 (PAMA) and Port Authority of NSW’s Cruise Booking Policy. The client was provided with a detailed reports that included options to assess the optimum number of LTD’s and recommendation for future operations.
