The client required a structural assessment of an existing structure within an airport hangar of floor size 33m2 to determine its adequacy for utilisation as a gym facility.
JJR Involvement :
The structural capacity was assessed for use as a gymnasium including:
- Review of the building structural drawings to determine design live loads of the structure;
- Designing for the gymnasium based on AS 1170.0:2002; and
- Final recommendation and approval for the are to be utilised for gym activities.
