The project involved a two-storey house on a Gold Coast canal with the following scope:
- Removing internal walls;
- Squaring up entry arches; and
- Extending the house footprint.
JJR Involvement :
Structural engineering services were provided, including:
- Advice on slab and wall cracking;
- Assessment of load and non-load bearing walls;
- Concepts for squaring up an arched brickwork; and
- Concept for a house extension.
Load bearing elements were confirmed and concept designs were provided to the client to allow building works to commence.
