IDEC Solutions were commissioned by Brisbane City Council for the Design & Construction (D&C) replacement of two bridges at Bangalow Street and Shelgate Street.
JJR Involvement :
JJR assisted IDEC with hydraulic impact modelling, flood impact assessment, as well as civil design and digital modelling for the proposed bridges.
JJR’s responsibilities included:
- Hydraulic and hydrological modelling using HEC-RAS;
- Assessment of potential impacts on properties lying within the surrounding catchment along with associated mitigation measures;
- Creation of preliminary and final hydraulic reports summarising the results of the hydraulic impact modelling and flood impact assessment;
- Conceptual plans for mitigating flood issues;
- 12D modelling and preparation of civil design drawings in accordance with the provided design drawings of the bridge replacements; and
- Provision of as-built drawings of the final constructed bridges.
