The client planned to increase the usable living area of their existing home through lifting the house and constructing areas underneath including two bedrooms, a bathroom and living room. The project required structural engineering services for the hydraulic lifting.
JJR Involvement :
The project included the following services:
- Review of footing layout for hydraulic lift confirmation;
- Design of a retaining wall structure;
- Design of piers and structural beams; and
- Development of a drainage plan for the proposed works.
