BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Design Management of the Northern Beaches Bus Line (B-Line) Program

Client Transport for NSW
Project Value > $100M
Project Overview The NBBP will provide more frequent and reliable services for customers travelling between the Northern Beaches and the Sydney CBD.

The Works include:

  • Roadworks including new bus lanes, bus bays, minor lane widening and other road improvements to reduce bus travel times, increase reliability and support prioritisation of bus services;
  • Eighteen (18) modern B-Line stops, two (2) each located at Mona Vale, Warriewood, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Dee Why, Brookvale, Manly Vale, Spit Junction and Neutral Bay, including real-time passenger information and improved seating and weather protection facilities for customers and reduced passenger crowding (where possible);
  • Improved access to bus services through provision of additional commuter car parking, as well as bicycle parking. No less than 900 off-street parking spaces will be provided under the NBBP for bus commuters. These will be located near major bus stops at Mona Vale, Warriewood, Narrabeen, and Manly Vale;
  • Interface management with works that interface with the commuter carpark being constructed at Brookvale;
  • The provision of bicycle storage facilities in each of the commuter carparks (lockable), with additional bicycle racks to be provided in the vicinity of the bus shelters (where possible); and
  • A range of road works improvements will be undertaken in the main corridor between Mona Vale and Neutral Bay, primarily to improve bus priority and travel times.
