Leichardt Market Place and Connection Points for Structures

Project  Leichardt Market Place and Connection Points for Structures
Client PowerPark Systems
Project Value $1M – $10M
Project Overview Engineering designs and drafting was undertaken for PowerPark’s Leichardt Market Place project. The project involved the installation of six arrays onto a concrete slab with post-tensioned cables.
JJR Involvement The scope of works for this project included providing structural engineering services for structures 1 to 6 as outlined below:

  • Structure 1 – A column that sat on a beam with the beam finishing approximately 1,100mm from the wall. A single cantilever structure column sat 1,500mm inside the wall, meaning it was not supported by the beam;
  • Structures 2, 3 and 4 were Position base plates centred over current post-tensioned cable locations, approximately 750mm from the wall;
  • Structure 5 – The existing column was located off the beam with the beam being to one side of the centre line of the car park; and
  • Structure 6 – The existing column was located off the beam completely with no beam near the structure.
