BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Bateman’s Bay Bridge Upgrade, Sediment Basin Modelling

Project Bateman’s Bay Bridge Upgrade, Sediment Basin Modelling
Client John Holland Group
Project Value > $100M
Project Overview John Holland Group (JHG) engaged JJR to provide temporary (construction phase) sediment basin designs based on modelling scenarios for optimisation of runoff treatment.

These basins formed part of the scope to replace the historic Bateman’s Bay Bridge.

JJR Involvement The scope of works for JJR included:

  • Measurement of disturbed catchments existing below catch drains;
  • Developing drainage plans with volumes based upon calculated sizing; and
  • Production of modelled options to fit the required volume basins under single and dual (split) basin scenarios, using 85th percentile rainfall depths.

The design was implemented during construction to ensure that clean and dirty water was separated efficiently in compliance with environmental requirements.
