Eltham High School – New Sport Facilities

Project Overview The project scope of works included:

  • Stage 1.1: New multipurpose synthetic surface hard courts for tennis and netball including line making, lighting, perimeter fencing and associated equipment (nets, posts etc)
  • Stage 1.2: New Pavilion which encompasses change rooms storage and club room space
  • Stage 1.3: Resizing and re-surfacing of existing oval with natural turf – work includes irrigation, drainage and lighting. Also includes addition of 3 smaller areas being Cricket Nets, Shotput area and baseball pitch – see masterplan for locations
  • Stage 1.4: Re-surfacing of existing asphalt courts – note these already are used for overflow parking on several School Function nights
  • Stage 1.5: New asphalt surface car park to south-east corner of School site – off Ely Street
JJR Involvement JJR’s scope of work as part of the project is as follows:

  • Structural and Civil design documentation for the proposed sports pavilion;
  • Development of a Flood Response Plan for Melbourne Water;
  • Civil design documentation for the following car parks:
    • New asphalt surface car park to south-east corner of school site off Ely Street; and
    • Extension of existing car park in north-west corner of school site.
  • The sports lighting pole foundations will be designed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
