Project Overview Kingston City Council (Council) engaged JJR to conduct a structural inspection and audit on waterways water features, including site inspection for four pumphouses and a desktop review and assessment.
JJR Involvement JJR’s experienced structural engineers conducted visual inspection of the structural members and recorded any defects including type, location, and extent of the defect such as cracking, excessive movement, damage, settlement, and deterioration of the structural members including concrete, steel, and masonry components.

The inspection and assessment were undertaken using the JTA Health, Safety & Noise Specialists Confined Space Risk Assessment Report provided by the Council, as well as the following Australian Standards:

  • AS 2870, Residential Slabs and Footings; and
  • AS 4349, Inspection of

A brief report was delivered to the Council by JJR, which summarised the existing condition of the four pumphouses, recommendations and photographs highlighting key findings during the visual inspection.
