Asset Management Condition Inspections and Life Cycle Strategies for Coastal Retaining Walls & Temporary Light Poles Fencing

Project Asset Management Condition Inspections and Life Cycle Strategies for Coastal Retaining Walls & Temporary Light Poles Fencing
Client Kingston City Council
Project Value $1M – $10M
Project Overview Kingston City Council engaged JJR to undertake structural visual inspections and condition rating of approximately 600m of reinforced concrete balustrading as well as steel reinforcement inspections for several precast concrete light poles at Peter Scullin Reserve, Mordialloc
JJR Involvement To prepare for visual inspections and condition rating, JJR firstly established the typical reinforcement profile for the light poles using GPR scans of three light poles.

JJR delivered a report for approximately 600m of concrete balustrading and several light poles to KCC detailing condition rating data, detailed analysis of structural integrity, including visual inspections of the extent of reinforcement corrosion for light poles with cracking and spalling of concrete, and recommendations.
