Project Overview The Namitjira Sport Pavilion is a single-storey building constructed with brick walls, steel roof trusses, timber purlins and metal roof sheeting. The roof and supporting steel rafters are extended to the west side of the building beyond the brick wall to approximately 4m and are supported on external steel posts.

The building is constructed on a concrete slab. The building has been modified and extended later to the north. Expansion joints between the original and extended building construction were observed during the inspection.

JJR was requested to conduct structural inspections for the Namatjira Sports Pavilion and review the location conditions to see accordance with the standards of the council requested.

JJR Involvement As part of the scope there was the inspections contemplated in the four sides of the building:

  • Walls and Cracks of the Building;
    • Crack severity.
    • Crack extent / length.
  • Full Report of repair works and recommendations for the asset condition.
