Project Overview The council for the City of Kingston has requested a certificate of inspection for structural and remediation works and JJR was responsible to conduct it. The works were carried in the Picnic Shelter structure, which is a Rotunda, located at Peter Scullin Reserve in Mordialloc.

JJR had previously alongside Council to inspect assets, including the Peter Scullin Reserve Picnic Shelter previously.

JJR Involvement JJR’s scope was to verify the following elements of the rotunda:

  • Roof structure including tiles, rafters, beams;
  • Truss members including chords, vertical and diagonal members;
  • Inner and outer columns;
  • Beams in different level;
  • Connections; and
  • Non-structural visible item including downpipes, gutter, seat, tables, paving, internal wall).
