Our Engineering Teams & What You’ll Do:

Structures Team (Civil Engineering Students)

  • Assist in preparing project and business-related designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Support the collection and analysis of accurate information regarding business or project requirements.
  • Contribute to the assessment of potential risks associated with specific roles or projects.
  • Aid in scheduling and coordinating the delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Develop strong communication and collaboration skills with a wide range of professionals, including colleagues, architects, subcontractors, civil engineers, consultants, and clients.
  • Build an understanding of compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Gain familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) tools for use in project design.
  • Assist in compiling, reviewing, and submitting technical and progress reports.
  • Apply both creative and logical thinking to solve design and development challenges.

Assets Team (Civil Engineering Students)

  • Support the smooth execution of project activities in alignment with established schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of project designs, specifications, and related documentation.
  • Contribute to gathering accurate information regarding project or business requirements.
  • Aid in evaluating potential risks associated with specific roles or projects.
  • Help coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Cultivate effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, architects, subcontractors, civil engineers, consultants, and clients.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of legal, health, and safety compliance requirements.
  • Gain proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) tools for project design tasks.
  • Assist in compiling, reviewing, and submitting project reports.

Civil Team (Civil Engineering Students)

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and closure phases of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct research to support project development and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of engineering and safety reports.
  • Review project standards, specifications, and drawings, and participate in risk assessments for staging projects.
  • Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Attend meetings with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination and communication.

Electrical Team (Electrical Engineering Students)

  • Assist in creating electrical design documentation for components, assemblies, and finished products.
  • Support the development of electrical models and simulations to explore mechatronic design concepts.
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of devices, systems, or components.
  • Help maintain and organize technical project documentation.
  • Assist in researching, selecting, and applying sensors, communication technologies, and control devices for functions such as motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, and electronic communication.
  • Support the enhancement of existing devices by integrating new electrical elements.
  • Aid in preparing engineering reports that detail design specifications and qualification test outcomes.
  • Ensure work is carried out in alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Develop an understanding of how to analyse and improve existing development or manufacturing procedures.
  • Build knowledge in designing advanced electronic control systems for mechanical applications.
