The client required an engineering assessment to determine the impact of a new pylon sign in accordance with the following standards:
- Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Queensland and its supplements;
- Traffic and Road Use Management (TRUM) manual; and
- Australian Standard (AS)1742 MUTCD.
JJR Involvement :
The installation of the new pylon was confirmed to have no affect on the safety of the intersection, including:
- Stopping Sight Distance (SSD);
- Safe Intersection Sight Distance (SISD); and
- Approach Sight Distance.
