Structural Condition Assessment of an Awning for the Clock Hotel’s Dining Area Permit
Client :
Maloney Hotel Corporation
Project Value :
Project Overview :

Gold Coast City Council requires structural condition assessments for awnings above dining areas.

JJR Involvement :

The client required a report prepared by a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) based on a structural assessment of an awning, including:

  • The RPEQ’s opinion as to the structural adequacy and condition of the awning, the awning connection to the building and of any items attached to the awning, for example signs; and
  • That the awning, the awning connection to the building and any items attached to the awning, are structural adequate.

A structural inspection report was provided which allowed the client to renew their dining area permit for The Clock Hotel in Surfers Paradise.
