JJR was engaged to review and mark-up structural design drawings and provide certification for the upsizing of the 15m Transport and Main Roads (TMR) prestressed plank design for the construction of two bridges within the central Queensland region.

JJR Involvement :

JJR experienced engineers reviewed existing structural design drawings provided by the client, which included:

  • Assessment of the planks ultimate bending moment capacity in accordance with AS 5100;
  • Comparison of the cross-section and reinforcing arrangement of the 15m and 19m TMR prestressed planks; and
  • Prepare design drawing mark-ups for custom 15m concrete planks.

The client was provided with mark-up of the prestressed concrete planks’ strands and steel reinforcing on the client’s structural drawings, as well as calculations and certification by one JJR’s RPEQ certified engineers.
