Project Overview :
The council for the City of Kingston has requested a certificate of inspection for structural and remediation works and JJR was responsible to conduct it. The works were carried in the Picnic Shelter structure, which is a Rotunda, located at Peter Scullin Reserve in Mordialloc.
JJR had previously alongside Council to inspect assets, including the Peter Scullin Reserve Picnic Shelter previously.
JJR Involvement :
JJR’s scope was to verify the following elements of the rotunda:
- Roof structure including tiles, rafters, beams;
- Truss members including chords, vertical and diagonal members;
- Inner and outer columns;
- Beams in different level;
- Connections; and
- Non-structural visible item including downpipes, gutter, seat, tables, paving, internal wall).
