JJR was engaged by Manningham City Council to provide engineering documentations including for tender and construction drawings, certificate, and structural computations for extension of the existing depot shelter at 620-628 Blackburn Road.
The building was extended to the north by adding columns and beams including concrete pavement slab. The new extension was covered with a roof and wall cladding using steel purlins and girts.
JJR Involvement :
Scope of work included the following items where JJR was involved:
- Conduct site visit to capture required information necessary to perform design
- Perform a structural design of the extension on south and north side
- New steel framing, connections, and cladding support design and detailing on north and southside
- New slab and footing design and detailing
- Confirm capacity of the existing structure for the modification
- Provide certificate of compliance
