Port of Melbourne (PoM) engaged JJR to undertake a feasibility options analysis in accordance with the following standards:
- Australian/NZ codes and standards; and
- Water industry technical and Melbourne Water standards.
JJR Involvement :
The scope of work included:
- Desktop review of existing infrastructure information;
- Assessed risk/vulnerabilities affecting security of existing water supply;
- Design the required watermain size, materials and components;
- Confirmed system pressure are in accordance with Australian requirements;
- Assess the lifecycle costs and future maintenance requirements for an upgrade watermain system; and
- Prepared and submitted to PoM detailed design drawings and report, including evaluation of proposed options, budget costs, gap analysis and recommendations.
