Project Overview :
City of Casey (Council) engaged JJR to undertake structural and electrical inspections, assessment, and report on Council’s approximately 700 sports lighting towers, installed at approximately 48 locations.
JJR Involvement :
JJR’s experienced structural engineers completed structural and electrical inspections and audit of sports lighting towers, which were delivered to Council in an inspection report that included:
- Record of all inspection processes, observations and outcomes;
- Details of internal and external corrosion and natural deterioration;
- Details of the material thickness, remaining strength and overall structural condition of each pole;
- Assessment of the condition, structural integrity and remaining life of each pole;
- Assessment of the electrical safety of each lighting installation;
- Risk rating for each defect;
- Prioritised list of recommendations as to rectification works for all defects with each tower;
- Recommendations of any preventative measures to protect poles from corrosion or other damage; and
Quality digital images depicting the conditions of each pole.
