Wellington Shire Council engaged JJR to Provide a detailed design of surface to for a Code A taxiway and taxilane, extension of the airport access road and provision of access roads to the proposed hangar sites.
JJR Involvement :
JJR’s expert team conducted a detailed feature and topographic survey and provided client with a detailed design for surface development in compliance with:
- Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 139 (Aerodromes) Manual of Standards 2019 (Part 139 MOS).
- International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Aerodrome Design Manual Part 3;
- Australian Airports Association (AAA) Airport Practice Note (APN) 12;
- AAA Supplement to APN 12 – Pavements for Rural and Remote Airports;
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) AC No 150/5300-13 – Airport Design;
- FAA AC No 150/5320-5 – Airport Drainage; and
- VicRoads Code of Practice RC500.22 – Selection and Design of Pavements and Surfacings.
The client received a comprehensive package of detailed design drawings and design options report, which included technical specifications, model and drawing sets.
