Mount Alexander Shire Council engaged JJR to undertake Level 3 inspection and load rating assessment for Froomes Road Bridge in Castlemaine.
JJR Involvement :
JJR’s experienced engineers conducted a Level 3 investigation. This involved measuring the structural components to determine the load rating and evaluating the reinforcing (rebar alignment) in the deck, using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and utilizing calliper and ultrasonic thickness gauge to determine effective sections.
The team provided the client with a Level 3 inspection and load rating report that included key findings of the site inspection, photographic evidence, a description of defects, load rating, and recommendations to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge.
