Shire of East Pilbara (SoEP) engaged JJR to design a new Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) system at Newman Airport (Airport), in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) and operational requirements for Low Intensity lighting systems.
JJR Involvement :
JJR delivered a detailed design package that confirmed all elements of the AGL system in accordance with CASR and Low Intensity lighting systems operations, which provided specific detail on electrical components and materials, including:
- Design of a dedicated stand-alone Airport Lighting Equipment Room (ALER);
- Design of airside lighting infrastructure;
- Risk Profile Map;
- Detailed design drawings in both .pdf and .dwg formats;
- Provision of anticipated market pricing range to procure, construct and commission the project; and
- Preparation of a draft Technical Specification for the AGL system works.
