Rose Aviation engaged JJR to provide a downwash impact assessment of helicopter operations, focusing on pedestrians and the adjacent car park near the proposed helipad at Cork University Hospital (CUH).
JJR Involvement :
JJR’s expert team investigated the impact of helicopter downwash at the CUH for compliance with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements.
The client was provided with a report, which included the estimated downwash velocity caused by the rotorcraft, downwash assessment methodology, wind analysis, calculations, and recommendations to mitigate any adverse effect on adjacent buildings.
